The Unfolding
Sleepawake Camp with Cat Tweedie
When a person is given the space, time, container, and support necessary to explore and discover their deep inner workings and heart, one can seldom anticipate or guess how those understandings will positively ripple through their life and future. Simply put, give a human what they need and watch them flourish. Give a lot of humans what they need and watch their communities thrive.
On the latest episode of The Unfolding, Cat Tweedie shares about Sleepawake Camp, a new program launching this summer. Sleepawake Camp is a 4-week residential intensive for 18–24-year-olds to explore the potent paths to embodied, engaged, and authentic living. Cat shares what this program is, what it aims to do and how it came to be.
From my own experience and being a mother of a 17-year-old son, it is essential to explore our inner landscape and discover our true expression to develop our mature selves. It gives us a chance to bring more of what is within us into this world. It also allows us to unlearn the scaffolding that was once needed during earlier developmental periods. These discoveries and understandings create a foundation that generates resiliency, a sense of safety in the world, and well-being rooted within no one else but ourselves. The more individuals do this, the stronger we are as a whole. It seems even more crucial in this day and age because of the significant changes occurring in this era we are all living in.
If you know of anyone within this age range or parents of kids within this age range, please encourage them to check it out. It could possibly be a life-changing experience.
